m4p type10-SDX can be classified as a super duplex stainless steel and is characterized in particular by its austenitic-ferritic microstructure, which combines the best of both worlds: outstanding corrosion resistance and maximum strength.
Thanks to its very high PREN value of ~43%, m4p™ Type10-SDX defies even the most aggressive corrosive media and is therefore used where conventional austenitic and duplex steels no longer meet the requirements.
For an optimum of material performance it is important to re-adjust the austenite-ferrite ratio after the L-PbF process with a heat-treatment (solution annealing + quenching).
